Fun Cooking Class


“A fantastic opportunity to experience true local Fijian and Indian cuisine”. Learn to cook Fiji’s unique dishes in our Island Cooking Classes with experienced local cooks as they take you on a mouthwatering journey of traditional Fijian & Indian flavours. Venturing on a journey of discovery through authentic Fijian homestyle cooking, guests will enjoy the finest dishes our islands have to offer. As Fiji is a multicultural society, over time it has developed into a diverse blend of delicious flavours from Melanesia, Polynesia, India, China, Rotuma & other Pacific Islands.

For each Cooking Class each guest has a fully equipped cooking station, enjoying air conditioned comfort & river views. Throughout the day our warm & engaging hosts offer interesting facts, entertaining stories and highlight the medicinal & nutritional values of ingredients used.

Our half day cooking classes will be held from Monday to Saturday for experienced cooks, beginners & children 8-16 years during school holidays.

Menus are based on traditional favourites showcasing seasonal seafood, root crops, local fruits & vegetables, an exotic array of local style curries, homemade chutneys, fresh tropical juices & local sweets. Using fresh seasonal produce to create island favourites, our cooks will share their traditional cooking techniques, secrets, helpful hints and entertaining stories, enabling you to recreate delicious dishes at home.

Classes are held in a modern custom designed kitchen on Denarau Island & are limited to 10-12 participants per class ensuring personal attention & guidance. All classes are inclusive of lunch, refreshments & take home recipes.

  • Bookings necessary before 4pm the day prior, due to limited class size.
  • Full payment is required on registration.
  • Spaces cannot be reserved without payment.
  • Payment will only be processed once your place is confirmed.

Optional Extras: There is a retail stall after your Cooking School is over, where you can purchase 100% Fijian made products including chutneys, sauces, pickles, jams, spices, placemats, napkins, local cooking utensils, aprons, & cook books to name a few.

All Pricing Includes Fijian VAT (15%) and Service Turnover Tax (5%) and is valid until March 31, 2015.
